For better skin quality and an even complexion
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a device that emits a broad spectrum of light that is absorbed by different targets in the skin, while leaving its surface intact. Targets such as melanin and certain blood cells present in brown spots, red spots and dilated vessels are selectively destroyed.
What's more, the heat produced by the flash lamp stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
Benefits
- Treatment of redness/couperose IPL treats redness of the couperose, rosacea, ruby spots type, as well as small stellate angiomas on the face.
- Brighten diffuse stains: Thanks to its broad-spectrum action, IPL also lightens spots and brightens the complexion overall. It is particularly suitable for dull, "smokers'" complexions.
- Photorejuvenation of treated areas: Stimulation of new collagen synthesis improves skin texture and texture, as well as elasticity and overall skin quality.
- Tighten dilated pores
- Reduce the redness and inflammation associated with acne
During the session
The treatment area is cleaned and make-up removed. The therapist applies a cool gel to the area to be treated, then passes the handpiece of the IPL device directly over the skin. Unlike lasers, which act at a distance, IPL requires direct contact with the skin for the energy to be transmitted properly.
During treatment, the patient generally feels a sensation of warmth and like a little "rubber band".
IPL treatment is rapid and is carried out without local anaesthetic to avoid dilating the vessels.
