Before the operation, a pre-operative consultation is compulsory, to assess your expectations and define the surgical strategy with you. An X-ray and pre-operative health check may be carried out.

Depending on the area to be filled, the anaesthetic will be local and the operation may be carried out under sedation, or it may be general. Most of the time, the operation will be carried out on an outpatient basis.

The first stage involves removing fat by liposuction from a donor area such as the abdomen, thighs or hips. This fat is then centrifuged, purified and prepared for reinjection into the desired area.

The small scars resulting from lipofilling are very small and tend to fade over time.

Although the final result will be visible after around 6 weeks, it can already begin to be appreciated in the first month. It is important to maintain a stable weight, because if you lose a lot of weight, the volume reinjected may be affected.

Patients are generally very satisfied with the procedure. In the breast area, lipofilling improves the shape of the breasts with a very natural effect. For the face and labia majora, lipofilling gives the face a natural, long-lasting appearance, with no risk of rejection.

It is important to know that the ratio between the fat aspirated and the fat reused for lipofilling is 1 to 3, which means that fat resorption is around 30% on average.

In the case of lipofilling of the face or labia majora, it can be very interesting to couple the technique with Nanofats (skin grafting of stem cells from the same fat as in lipofilling), enabling tissue regeneration and a significant improvement in the quality of the skin or mucous membranes.
