Restore body volume and firmness

Sculptra® is a biodegradable medical injectable composed of poly-lactic acid. Its use in the treatment of the skin, at a hyper-diluted concentration, gives it a tissue-inducing action.

It stimulates the skin's natural production of collagen, helping to restore volume and firmness to areas of the body that have lost tone. When injected into the deeper layers of the skin, it activates the body's natural processes to produce more collagen. This has the effect of filling in skin depressions, smoothing wrinkles and restoring volume to sagging areas such as the buttocks, arms, legs or décolleté.

Smoothing the skinSulptra® smoothes the uneven appearance of the skin, for example on the buttocks. Not only is the skin denser and firmer, it is also more elastic.
Body-contouring : Sculptra® uses a specific protocol to really sculpt the body. This surgery-free body contouring procedure lifts sagging buttocks. Sculptra® makes it possible to rediscover fuller buttocks, and its success has earned it the name "Brazilian butt lift".

After a thorough discussion with the doctor and confirmation that Sculptra is indicated, the doctor disinfects the area to be treated and reconstitutes the injectable with a saline solution and a local anaesthetic.. The injection is made using a cannula.

The treatment can be accompanied by manual subsicions to treat fibrous cellulite and give the skin surface a much smoother, more even appearance (this is carried out under local anaesthetic, using infiltration).

After the injection, the injected volume gives an immediate effect, which lasts for two to three days - and then disappears. The final results begin to be visible after 1 to 2 months and gradually improve up to 6-9 months. The effect lasts up to 18-24 months.

Collagen is one of our body's main structural proteins. It accounts for almost 75% of the skin's composition. Collagen contributes to skin firmness and the proper functioning of skin physiology. As ageing begins at the end of growth, skin collagen density gradually decreases from the age of 20.

To minimise the risk of bruising, it is advisable to avoid blood-thinning substances in the days leading up to your appointment. This includes anti-inflammatories, aspirin, and supplements such as turmeric, omega-3 and vitamin C.

Avoid swimming pools (risk of infection), jacuzzis and saunas for 48 hours after treatment.
Avoid exposure to heat for the first few hours post-injection and to intense cold for the next 15 days.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Known sensitivity to amide-type local anaesthetics (lidocaine, etc.)
On the area to be treated: bacterial or viral infections, open wounds, skin infections, etc.
Skin diseases, in particular infections, history of foreign body granuloma, sarcoidosis
